Trifold rivets forms three press “FOLDS” on the closing head side during setting. The large moulded “FOLDS” distribute the exerted clamping force evenly and gently onto the riveted material, provides a larger bearing surface that resists the pull-through or cracking that can occur in some materials with a standard rivet. Also, the large surface of the folds offer excellent protection against the rivet being pulled through very soft, porous or brittle application parts. Because of its special design, the Trifold is also able to compensate over-dimensional or irregular drill hole diameters,reducing the risk of cracking the parent material. Trifold rivets are excellently suited for the automotive field, e.g. for plastic panelling, car body parts and for the in-terior work inside vehicles, but also for all other applications that are particularly soft, brittle, easily deformed or porous. Its controlled setting gives outstanding reliability and produces a neat, uniform appearance.
